Teaming Up for Optimal Health
Most chiropractors agree that reducing pain is often the simplest part of treatment. However, if care stops once symptoms improve, the underlying issue may remain unresolved—greatly increasing the chances of symptoms returning. To support lasting results and help prevent recurrence, it’s important to continue care even after the discomfort has subsided.
During the corrective/restorative phase, adjustment frequency typically decreases compared to the initial relief phase. Based on your needs, you may also be given stretches or exercises to perform at home or in the office to enhance progress and strengthen the affected areas.
It’s normal to experience occasional mild flare-ups during this stage. Healing is a process, and the body continues to adapt as stability improves. Depending on the condition, its severity, and how long it has been present, this phase may last several months to a couple of years.
