What Is Causing Your Allergies To Flare Up?

What is causing your allergies to flare up?

In today's foods more than ever we have plenty of additives and processed foods. Some of the foods are so processed they cannot be considered a clean food. If you want to eat a clean diet that provides good nutrition so you can have the energy to do all you desire to do, you will need to learn to read labels. A quick and easy way to read a label is to look at the first ingredient: If the first one ends in an “-ose”, then the main ingredient is sugar. Sugar doesn't provide what you need for long lasting energy and good health. A simple rule of thumb is, if there are more than five ingredients, or if you cannot pronounce the words, don't buy it. There are tools that you can use, such as APPs you can put on your phone that will tell you if the food you are thinking to buy is heavily processed with MGO's and BPA's.
Other things you should look for are additives that you may not be aware of. Some of the additives that may cause an allergic reaction are:
• Sulfates
• MSG
• Colorants
• Tartrazine
• Nitrates
• BHT
• Parabens
Any of these could cause a increase in heart rate, increase cortisol to a severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis.

The energy from food travel at an estimated rate of 268 miles per second. You don't even have to ingest the food for it to cause an effect, if you are severely allergic to a food you can have a severe histamine response even just standing near the food.  You can have a sympathetic nervous system response that may cause an increased heart rate, your throat could close and you might feel dizzy, irritated or feel confused. People that have ADHD, depression or OCD and many other brain chemistry issues should be even more careful about what they are eating. Food could be your medicine if we eat a pure clean balanced diet, or it could be more of a toxin that can steal our energy.
If you think have could have a food intolerance or wonder if you are getting a reaction after eating you can do this simple test.

This is called the Coca's test.
To get the best results do the test after you have gone without food or any kind of drinks for 2 hours.

1. First take your heart rate for one full minute while sitting & then take your heart rate again while standing.
2. Then while seated; place a single ingredient food, (ex. Apple) in your mouth without swallowing it.
3. Then stand up with the food still in your mouth and take your heart rate. If you heart rate increases by 7-10 beats then you are having a histamine response.

Next time we will talk about why stress can be causing you to have more food sensitivities:
Why more people are irritable these days?
Can your hormone imbalance be part of the problem?
How chiropractic adjustment might help reduce your allergic responses?
